Health-Focused Dentistry

Most major dental problems can be avoided with routine cleanings and proper home care. Dr. Muhammad emphasizes prevention at Brooklyn Oak Dental Care, because when she's able to diagnose problems early she can usually implement an effective and conservative treatment plan that will prevent them from recurring. Quality preventive care can also save you a good deal of time and money on future dental work, which is really something to smile about!

Missing Teeth? Loose Dentures?

While many dentists can finish off an existing implant with a crown or bridge, not all dentists have the ability to perform the implant procedure from start to finish. Dr. Muhammad has completed training in both the surgical placement and the cosmetic restoration of dental implants, so you can receive all of your implant care right here in our Park Slope dental office.

If you're tired of hiding your missing teeth or dealing with uncomfortable dentures, call today to find out if dental implants are right for your smile!

Periodontal Health

Your gums are the foundation of your teeth; they hold them in place, support the roots, and even protect the underlying bone. Just like a house, a tooth is only as strong as its foundation.

The early stage of gum disease, known as gingivitis, is characterized by mild symptoms ranging from red, swollen gums to gums that bleed every time you floss. Gingivitis is completely reversible with non-invasive treatments and home care. However, if left untreated, gingivitis will eventually progress to a more serious form of gum disease, which can result in permanent tooth and bone loss.

Dr. Muhammad and her staff are so professional and attentive. Scheduling my appointment was very easy, and they made sure I was fully aware of all payment details. I went in for a cleaning, but realized I needed additional procedures, and they fit me in the next day. They were right on schedule for both appointments and had me in and out very quickly.

This was my first visit to Brooklyn Park Dental. I was thrilled with the service I received there. Both Dr. Lee and the hygienist Jill put me at ease right away. My teeth and gums were thoroughly checked out and the cleaning was remarkably painless. This is my new favorite dental practice!
